Okay, so I know I did a post a few weeks ago about nautical things...but I found so much more that I like and feel compelled to make another nautical post! Don't forget to check out where to get the look for less at the bottom.
Up until very recently, I thought I hated color blocks because I thought they looked sort of cheesy. Don't ask why...I have nooo idea way. However, I've definitely had a change of heart this spring as I've been noticing tons of color blocked pieces I would actually love to wear. This first Ella Moss dress (only $104!?!) is my absolute favorite out of all the color blocks dresses I came across online. It's just so sweet...there's no other way to describe it really.
Ella Moss Margot Tiered Dress $295 Usually color blocked things are in bold colors....I love this because of it's earthy colors.
Christoher Deane Celine Mojave Dress $348 Not so sure how I feel about the dramatically puffed sleeves, but the funky bottom of this dress is what caught my attention.
BwithG Lesley Two-Tone Mini Dress $194 Simple and appropriate for so many occations/places. If anyone buys this, SIZE UP!!! It runs very small! I tried it on in a local boutique last week.
The balloon hem mini dresses we've been seeing everywhere are one of my favorite trends for spring! They're fun, flirty, and have sex appeal in an innocenct sort of way. I'm not a personal fan of the bubble tunics because I just don't see them as overly flattering. However, I've noticed that the mini dresses tend to have a little more shape to them...maybe because of the extra fabric to help weigh it down. I've seen a lot of girls wearing these minis with high pumps, but I've been keeping it comfortable with flats and wedges. High pumps just don't look right with most of these bubble minis. Check out my first few favorites that were on BlueFly.comfrom Romeo and Juliet Couture for less than $100 each. Lovin' the electric blue!!
Don't forget to check out where to get the look for less at the bottom of the post. <3
With the nautical look coming in with a lot of white and navy blue it only makes sense that accessories should stand out, and what a better color than red? It goes perfect with navy and white and just adds that extra pop to the outfit. I picked out some of my favorites this season :)
At the risk of looking like a derranged bumble bee, I love to mix spring's oh-so-popular yellow with black to create bold outfits. It looks adorable to mix black and yellow solid pieces together or go with a print, but I would steer away from black and yellow stripes for obvious reasons!
I'm all for the metallic trend, but I think that accessories of solid gold or silver can be a little too flashy. I'd opt for a combination of white and gold instead because it still reflects the metallic trend, but it's little less over-the-top. My expensive taste definitely got the best of me with this post (sorry!), but I'm still obsessed with everything here....
Bangles are back in a big way....but what do you all think of these animal-inspired bangles? These funky pieces seem to be a new little trend for spring. Although it is a bit out of my budget right now, I'm a big fan of the first gecko bangle. Kenneth Jay Lane came up with a few afordable alternatives to this trend as well...
A trend I have not seen since I was a little girl is sweeping back into my wardrobe. Jumpers are back and cuter than ever! They are perfect for a day at the beach or a simple night out,
